The 2011 12th Annual Decorated Birdhouse Competition is underway. The competition is sponsored and held at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina. All birdhouses will be on display from April 18 to May 9, 2011. Decorated birdhouses may or may not be functional. Height must not exceed 23 inches. At the end of the competition, the birdhouse may be donated to the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity who will use the birdhouses for future fund-raising efforts.

My entry for the 2011 competition will be called "WNC ... got coffee?" I've collected coffee cups, coffee bags, maps and spoons ... everything is recycled. Follow along as my birdhouse design takes shape. Here's a start ... and now the finished birdhouse! If you are in the Asheville area between April 18 to May 9, be sure to stop by the Grove Park Inn and look for my birdhouse.
